With its distinctive ‘twisted’ façade pattern inspired by the Māori Pikorua motif, The Pacifica is a striking addition to Auckland CBD’s skyline.

Situated on a ‘postage stamp’ site, The Pacifica is New Zealand’s tallest residential tower at 178m. The development consists of 57 levels, 273 high quality apartments, 142 carparks, a lap pool, gym, yoga studio, residents lounge and barbeque terrace.

The story of The Pacifica is also the story of Icon NZ – starting with a team of just 3 NZ based staff, both the project and the NZ business were built at the same time.

The project was procured by negotiation through a structured ECI process, throughout which the team systematically interrogated the design, finding opportunities for refinement, engineering rationalisation and cost savings; whilst liaising with key territorial authority stakeholders to re-risk compliance, site access and logistical constraints.
